The College has been granted with CGPA of 2.62 by NAAC re-accreditation in the third cycle in 2016.The College is also recognized under 2F and 12B of UGC act. The College has been selected by DBT, Govt of India for DBT STAR College scheme with grants to the departments of Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology from this year.

These could be possible with the hardwork done by College Staff and students under the guidance of visionary management. With proud legacy of 74 years, the College has excelled in various fields. Many students have registered their presence in the merit list of Gauhati University and other reputed institutions. Students educated from the College have carved a niche for themselves in various fields at national and international levels.

From this academic session, the College is going to start the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) in TDC courses as per guideline of Gauhati University. We recognize skill development as an essential part of education. Keeping that in mind the College has already introduced B. Voc. Course in IT with financial support from the Govt. of Assam and a number of Curriculum Enrichment Courses

The green, secured campus with Wi-Fi connectivity, solar power plant, modern digital classrooms and laboratories, fully automated digital library, computer center, indoor and outdoor game facilities etc. provide a fascinating learning atmosphere.
